Who we are
Nefele is the fruit of the friendship and creativity of Martina Bellini and Asia Pellegrini, two entrepreneurs united by their passion for fashion and comfort. Our story begins with a dream: to create a slipper that is not only comfortable and versatile, but also has a unique and refined style. We wanted to capture the essence of walking on clouds, that feeling of lightness and freedom that accompanies every step.
The name Nefele comes from the Greek (gr. Νεϕέλη) and means “cloud”, a perfect symbol of our philosophy: to be light, free and at the same time elegant. Our goal is to offer a product that not only adapts to different lifestyles, but that becomes an extension of the personality of the wearer. With Nefele, every step is an experience of freedom and style.

Nephele
The term “Nephele” comes from ancient Greek and is intrinsically linked to mythology. In Greek mythology, Nepheles were creatures made of clouds or vapors. According to myth, they were created by Hephaestus to resemble goddesses, especially Hera. Sometimes, the term “Nephele” is also used in a broader sense to refer to something ethereal, evanescent or light like the clouds themselves. Our brand embodies these values, celebrating freedom of expression and lightness.

Entirely designed in Italy, Nefele models are handcrafted by master craftsmen in the province of Cremona who have been carrying on one of the oldest crafts in the world for generations. The design is the result of our personal vision.
